The Singalila National Park graces the upper part of the village, while the Chota Rangit River flows below. Standing in this scenic village, you can enjoy stunning views of Sikkim, Kalimpong, Nepal, and Darjeeling. The village is completely dependent on agriculture, with squash being the primary crop cultivated here in abundance. During the squash farming season, the entire village turns exceptionally green and vibrant. I visited towards the end of the monsoon season, and this serene, agricultural village felt incredibly peaceful and picturesque. The homestay where I am staying in Samsu also holds a very special significance, as it is closely connected with the memory of Tenzing Norgay.
