Five depots. One night. Three regions. And this time, it's not a claim. It's confirmed.
On October 27, Ukraine's General Staff announced that Ukrainian Defense Forces had struck Russian ammunition depots, supply depots, and concentrations of troops and equipment across the Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, in strikes on October 26 and during the night of October 27. The target list is specific, and that is what makes this night different: two ammunition depots, three logistics depots, one weapons concentration, and three personnel concentrations — all hit in a single night, all in the Russian rear.
In this video:
The five depots: ammunition depots near Dyakove (Luhansk) and Ohorodne (Donetsk); logistics depots near Luhansk, Antratsyt, and Tymonove (all Luhansk)
Why Dyakove is the name to remember — and the satellite fires NASA's FIRMS system captured there on October 27
The wider target set: a weapons concentration near Krasnohorivka, and troop concentrations near Lahidne, Antratsyt, and Novopetrivka
Why hitting ammunition and logistics together hurts both firepower and movement
The pattern through October: the same regions, the same target categories, wave after wave
What to watch next: more satellite fire data, the next General Staff target list, and whether Russian depots start moving further from the front
What is confirmed, and what is not: the strikes were announced by Ukraine's General Staff itself on October 27, and NASA FIRMS infrared imagery captured significant fires at Dyakove on October 27. The General Staff's post did not provide figures on the damage inflicted or the casualties caused, so this video gives no casualty or equipment totals. The weapons used were not specified in the announcement, and Russia's response to this specific package is not stated. The depots are described as struck and hit — not all destroyed, because no source has confirmed destruction of every depot. Dyakove is a separate depot from Khrustalnyi, about 25 kilometers away, and the Khrustalnyi depot fire from the same night remains unconfirmed by the General Staff — the two must not be merged.
If Ukraine can hit five depots in a single night, how far back does Russia have to move its supplies before its frontline guns start going hungry? Tell us in the comments.
