(Do you remember... do you rem... do you...) (Error. Retry.) [Verse 1 : Singer, voix presque chuchotée, très proche du micro] Bergson said memory's a river that flows, Now it's a file with a corrupted close. Proust dipped a madeleine and the whole world came, I bit down on a thumbnail, it won't say your name. Heraclitus: never the same stream twice, Mine's a loop with a glitch in the ice. Locke said I'm the thread of what I recall, Pull on the thread and the whole thing falls. [Pre-Chorus : Singer + écho dégradé, voix qui saute] Fade to grey, fade to grey, One by one they drift away. [Chorus : Singer, hypnotique, nappes sombres] Dead pixels, dead pixels, where the pictures used to be, Dead pixels, dead pixels, holes in the memory, Every face I loved is a square of static light, Dead pixels, dead pixels, dissolving in the night. (Rem... remem... remember me...) [Verse 2 : GUEST RAPPER, voix grave, calme, menaçante, flow lent et précis, 16 mesures] Static on the screen where the family used to smile, Borges built a library with no end, no aisle, Funes remembered all, and it drove him insane, Total recall's a prison, forgetting is a gain, Baudrillard said the map swallowed the land, Now the copy's the real thing, and I can't understand, Plato's cave got an upgrade: pixels on the wall, Shadows with a refresh rate, shadows that stall, Descartes' demon whispers: "Is any of this true?" Simulation or not, I still ache for you, Zhuangzi's butterfly woke up in the rain, Which one's the dream: the joy or the pain? Heidegger said dwelling's a way of being near, The house is a rumour, the window's a tear, Cioran said "To forget is the final grace," So I'll let the last frame fade from your face. [Pre-Chorus : Singer] Fade to grey, fade to grey, One by one they drift away. [Chorus : Singer, ad-libs glitchés du rappeur] Dead pixels, dead pixels, where the pictures used to be, Dead pixels, dead pixels, holes in the memory, Every face I loved is a square of static light, Dead pixels, dead pixels, dissolving in the night. (Rem... remem... re... re... remember me...) [Bridge : tout se coupe, piano seul, très lointain, voix de Singer à peine audible, bruit de bobine qui se déroule] If I forget your name, will you still be there? If the photograph burns, does the moment still care? Parfit said identity's not what matters most, Just the chain of the links, even when they're lost... (Even when they're lost...) [Beat switch : basse distordue, drums industriels, tempo qui accélère puis déraille, GUEST RAPPER, 8 mesures tendues] System failure, memory leak, the sky's a broken screen, Arendt saw the desert grow where the world had been, Sisyphus reboots and the boulder starts again, Camus smiles in the static: "Still a man, still a man." Kafka's in the queue for a form that doesn't load, Orwell's memory hole is a well-paved road, Delete, delete, delete, till nothing's left to say, But the ghost in the machine still knows your name today! [Final Chorus : tout s'ouvre puis se désintègre, voix superposées qui se coupent une à une] Singer: Dead pixels, dead pixels, where the pictures used to be, Singer: Dead pixels, dead pixels, holes in the memory, All: Every face I loved is a square of static light, All: Dead pixels, dead pixels... (Dead pix... dead...) Singer (seul, presque inaudible) : Remember me... remember... re... [Outro : écran qui s'éteint, ventilateur qui ralentit, un dernier bip, silence total] Prompt Suno adapté : Dark cinematic alternative hip-hop, Gorillaz-inspired, glitch and trip-hop atmosphere, heavy sub-bass, slow cinematic drums at 78 BPM, corrupted digital textures, bitcrushed synths, vinyl and tape hiss, glitching stutter effects, distant piano, industrial drums in the beat switch. Melodic hook-driven song led by a melancholic, breathy, whispered British male singer with an intimate nasal tone, close-mic and fragile. Featuring a guest male rapper with a deep, calm, menacing, low-pitched voice and a slow, precise, controlled flow, on two verses only. Hypnotic chorus with stuttering vocal edits, haunting stripped piano bridge, distorted tempo shift in the second rap, final chorus that gradually disintegrates into silence.
