Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala. With a little Tibetan, Bhutanese, Nepalese, Chinese, and Indian thrown in. I investigated incredible Jackson Heights, focusing on the Latin American community there. It is located at 74st/Broadway stop on the 7 train. The entire neighborhood is a vast space of different Latino cultures; there is a very strong diversity of Latin American nationalities, and people are proud of their country of origin. Flags everywhere, delicious food, and so many people, i.e., an abundance of stories to tell. There were some bizarre forms of alternative medicine recommended to me, like rubbing an egg on your head and body. We picked up some flyers, got recommended a dentist, looked at all the lawyers offices, money exchange sites, pharmacies, of different traditions. We got a peak at some fresh Guatemalan tortillas, went into a number of different shops, restaurants and markets to ask people about their culture using the Spanish language itself. I learned a lot! And I was happy to share my experience of this amazing neighborhood with you. Like and subscribe if you like my content. Looking forward to releasing my next video tomorrow!
