Riding Out Hurricane Lowell at Marriott Kauai Beach Club! 2 Days Without Power in Kalapaki

What started as a tropical getaway to Kauai, Hawaii, turned into an intense brush with extreme weather as Hurricane Lowell swept past the island! Staying at the Marriott's Kauaʻi Beach Club at Kalapaki Bay, we experienced firsthand the fierce impacts of Hurricane Lowell. Damaging wind gusts battering the coast knocked out electricity across the area for 2 full days, leaving local stores closed and popular tourist destinations blocked by massive fallen trees and debris. In this video, we tour the grounds of the resort after the storm, showcase the resilience of the staff and locals, and take in incredible elevated views of Kalapaki Bay from our room on the 6th floor.
