Deputies Think the Arrest Is Over — Until She Slips Her Handcuffs

ABOUT THIS INCIDENT On July 11, 2026, deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance in Flagler County, Florida. After deputies investigated the incident, Sofiya Zvarych was placed under arrest. While detained in a patrol vehicle, Zvarych managed to slip out of her handcuffs, leading to another struggle as deputies worked to restrain her again. The bodycam footage captures the initial investigation and arrest, the unexpected second confrontation, and the aftermath as deputies waited for Zvarych to be processed. CASE INFORMATION According to Flagler County court records reviewed during production, Zvarych was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence. The case remained pending as of October 04, 2026. Court records also show that domestic battery and false imprisonment charges associated with the case received an Announcement of No Information on July 28, 2026.
