The Marshall Sisters continue on the journey back to civilization after being rescued, multiple times, by the Phantom. Over the course of their adventure, the two come to a realization: they both are in love with the Ghost Who Walks! This creates a conflict between the two that motivates both to undertake attempts to catch the eye of the Phantom, by putting themselves in danger once again to vie for his attention. Their plan turns all-too-real, however, when both are captured by a slaver named Siduun, and carted off the be sold to Hamid the Terrible, Lord of the Desert.
