Vocal Strength Coach Reacts to Morissette Amon – Never Enough | FIRST TIME

My first time ever hearing Morissette Amon, and straight out of the gate, this may be the best female performance of “Never Enough” I’ve ever heard. Honestly, it might be my favorite version of the song altogether. Boyce Avenue has been the other major contender for me personally, but Morissette may have just taken the top spot. What immediately grabbed me was the contrast in her voice. She begins with so much softness, breathiness, control, and restraint, then gradually opens everything up and unleashes an incredibly dense, powerful belt without seeming to lose that strength as she climbs higher. She actually reminded me a little of Lara Fabian in the way she can move from something extremely intimate and controlled into this enormous vocal sound. I also make a very early prediction about her voice in this reaction: she sounds soprano-leaning to me, while still seeming capable of reaching down and pulling warmer, darker, almost mezzo-like colors into certain phrases. That combination can be an absolutely deadly weapon for a singer. This was beautiful. If you’re a Morissette fan, tell me where I need to go next.
