Welcome back to Action Rhymes with Miss Rani and Snowy! 🐻‍❄️❄️✨ Today, we are using our arms and whole bodies to act out the beautiful movements of butterflies and bumblebees flying through the garden! This fun game helps us build physical control and body awareness while teaching us about nature's tiny creatures and matching sound patterns. Today’s Action Rhyme & Rhyming Pairs: 🎶 Flutter like a butterfly, landing on a flower, 🎶 Rest your little wings, sitting for an hour. 👉 Rhyming Pair: Flower and Hour! 🎶 Buzz like a bumblebee, flying all around, 🎶 Zipping up high, then dropping to the ground! 👉 Rhyming Pair: Around and Ground! The Teacher’s Secret (Why This Matters): As a trained Early Years teacher, I love this rhyme because it exercises two important skills at the same time: 1️⃣ Gross Motor Control & Spatial Awareness: Flapping our arms gently like butterfly wings builds shoulder stamina and upper-body control. Changing our movements to fast, zippy bee buzzing and encouraging them to drop safely to the ground helps children practice core strength, balance, and quick physical transitions! 2️⃣ Phase 1 Phonics (Rhyme & Sound Patterns): Highlighting words that share the same ending sound (like flower/hour and around/ground) trains your child's brain to track acoustic rhythm. This auditory discrimination is a vital foundation for spotting speech patterns and building future reading confidence. The Home Challenge: After the video finishes, can you remember our buzzing bumblebee? Try to think of another word that rhymes with around and ground! (What about sound, bound, or found?) A Note for Parents & Carers 🏠 The High-to-Low Drop: When we zip up high and drop to the ground, encourage your child to land softly on their feet or knees. This sudden change in level is fantastic for developing their vestibular system (balance) and spatial awareness! One Video a Day: Stick to just this one video today so your child can fully learn the rhyme, practice the physical actions, and lock the matching sounds into their memory. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell icon to join Miss Rani and Snowy for our next rhyming adventure! #ActionRhymes #MissRaniAndSnowy #PhysicalDevelopment #Phase1Phonics #FlapAndFlutter #GrossMotorSkills #RhymingPairs #LearningThroughPlay #EYFS #EarlyYearsLiteracy
