'Scarab' Ep 01 Thrusters - Space Engineers - Large Ship Build (2025)

Welcome to my first YouTube series! This is the build & creative process - aka me trying to learn how to build a ship - for my new 'Scarab' exploration ship. I built it from scratch, using inspiration from some YouTubers that I like. This is only my 4th large grid ship design, so please be patient and keep the comments constructive. Funny story ... I was gonna do a survival series, and kept messing up the video making! First there was no audio, then there was no video. In that time I managed to build a couple of cool ships, and started a new Earth-like survival with a nice rover and a couple starter bases ... no footage of those. This is the first ship I built with actual footage. :/ I don't edit much, just breaking up footage into episodes, so fast-forward thru the boring parts if you want. This series is my opportunity to learn ship design, and basic video editing with OpenShot. (Shout out to Open Source programmers!)
