Previously, as Chief Science Officer, she led work across LanzaTech's R&D and commercial deployment pipeline, including support for technology deployed at six commercial plants worldwide. Before joining LanzaTech, she spent a decade in leadership roles at ExxonMobil, advancing biological solutions for the energy transition. Zara holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts.
