Rare guitars, incredible vintage finds and NOS guitars that have never been sold! Join me for a guitar shop tour of Sound of Music in Stuttgart, Germany—a place filled with instruments I NEVER expected to see, let alone find still waiting for their first owner! This week’s Sunday Coffee, Guitars & Tones takes us inside a remarkable guitar store with Rob as our guide. From guitars dating back to the late ’60s through to modern instruments, every corner seems to reveal another surprise. And then there are THOSE guitars… 🤯 A 1994 BC Rich splatter-finish superstrat with the protective plastic still on its truss rod cover. An Ibanez with a REAL marble top. A Gibson Flying V celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary, complete with diamonds. A Les Paul with onboard Moog electronics. A James Bond Duesenberg. And a 1995 pearloid Fender Stratocaster whose open case STILL had that new-guitar smell! There’s also vintage Hamer, Peavey Vandenberg, Kramer, Charvel, an early Jackson Soloist, ESP Custom Shop, NOS PRS guitars and much more. NOS means “new old stock”—older stock that has never been sold at retail. Finding guitars like these decades later makes this visit feel like opening one musical time capsule after another. The instruments are extraordinary, but sharing the discoveries and stories with Rob made this a really special experience.
