Build and run a complete SAP S/4HANA Universal Allocation cycle for cost assessment in SAP Fiori—from source expenses and secondary cost elements to allocation results and journal-entry verification.
This end-to-end demo uses cafeteria expenses posted to a shared cost center. The costs are summarized into two secondary cost elements and allocated to cost centers 1000, 2000, and 3000 according to employee statistical key figures.
What you will learn:
Why assessment summarizes the original expense accounts while distribution retains their detail
How S/4HANA uses secondary-cost G/L accounts with cost element category 42
How to create an actual cycle in the Manage Allocations app
How segments connect sender cost-element groups, a shared sender cost center, receiver groups, and statistical key figures
How to create cost element groups and a cost center group
How to use posted amounts, variable portions, and a 100% sender share
How to run the July 2023 allocation and review sender, receiver, and journal-entry results
Why the shared cost center becomes zero while receivers show summarized cafeteria-cost lines
