Body & Soul (A Tribute to Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse) by Emma May

One of the most beautiful jazz standards...It's been recorded by so many wonderful artists but none touched my heart quite so much like the duet between Tony Bennett and the late Amy Winehouse. One of her final recordings, I think. Seeing the film clip of their session together always makes my eyes fill with tears. I love her interpretation of the standards. We had a couple of hours in the studio last week and ended up laying down a few piano vocal covers just for the fun of it. All live and full takes. No tuning or any of the fancy stuff (that I must admit can be very handy when you're having an off day ;) P.S Sorry for the grainy iPhone video (low light!), we didn't intend on filming at all but I promise we'll get around to shooting some videos properly soon... Ft The darling Daniel May on piano. Recorded live by Tom Jordan at The Writer's Block Studio (UMPG Sydney) Subscribe to Emma Birdsall's YouTube channel http://umu.si/EmmaBirdsallSub Find Emma Birdsall's music on iTunes and Google Play http://smarturl.it/EmmaBirdsallMusic Follow Emma Birdsall on: Facebook:   / emmabirdsallmusic   Twitter:   / emmabirdsall   Instagram:   / emmabirdsall   Spotify: http://spoti.fi/1kL9isU Soundcloud:   / emmabirdsall   Pinterest:   / emmabirdsall   Google+: https://plus.google.com/+emmabirdsall Website: http://www.emmabirdsall.com.au
