WE TOOK OUR KIDS TO NIGERIA: What they learned changed me.

This trip to Nigeria was supposed to be about family fun and making memories, but it became so much more we took our kids to Nigeria to spend time with family and friends ,experience village life, reconnect with their roots, Meet cousins , play with other children and experience tradition that are so important to our family     from Chasing chicken in the village to giving gift to village children, family gatherings and playing with cousins , to learning about respect discipline tradition and gratitude. Our children experience so many things that they don’t experiencing in everyday life one of the most meaningful part of our trip was visiting and orphanage with kids. The experience gave us another opportunity to talk about gratitude ,compassion ,family , appreciating the things with sometimes takes for granted. As a mom, This trip also made me reflect on something deeper. I’m raising my children and helping them become who they are meant to be I’m still becoming too.
