why do we want fashion to be exclusive?
Fashion has always been about more than just clothes; it’s a way we communicate our identity, our status, and what we want other people to see in us. But what happens when the things that make us feel special become accessible to everyone?
In this video, I’m getting into the psychology and history behind fashion exclusivity, Fashion Week, mimetic dominance, fast fashion, and why the internet has made the trend cycle absolutely insane.
Like Vivienne Westwood once said: “Buy less, choose well, make it last.”
Also, sorry for the slightly clipped audio in a few parts of this video, I did my best to fix it!
Thanks for watching 🤍
