Crabbing in BC Part 2 | Dungeness & Red Rock Crab

Back out crabbing in BC, but this time I brought my boyfriend with me. We ended up catching a few Red Rock and Dungeness crab, but unfortunately they were all undersized, so everything went back. We also went over how to tell males and females apart and how we check the size of our catch. Still no keepers, but definitely getting better at this. If you’re crabbing in BC, make sure you have a valid Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence and check the current DFO regulations for the specific area you’re fishing before heading out. Size limits, retention rules and closures can change, so always check for yourself before keeping anything.
