UPDATE: In June 2022, we had confirmation from various sources, including the original creator of the song, that it was actually called "Little Islands" by a German band called "The Gallery". The band had since broken up and later re-formed as "Stjarna". Lead singer Gunnar was shocked to learn of the interest in the song, especially as it was officially unreleased. Gunnar informed us that there were actually a number of unreleased songs from "The Gallery". They were later released in a long lost tracks compilation album called "Garage Millennials". ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: Here's my cover of 'So Totally Insane', featuring backup vocals from BSP! ‘So Totally Insane’, sometimes called ‘Side By Side’ or ‘Pleasure Ride’, is a mysterious alt-rock song of obscure origin. It was originally uploaded to YouTube by Xavier Tauzin (AKA 'mrgein') on February 27th, 2009. Prior to uploading, Tauzin had posted a request to identify the song on the Ultimate Metal forum, but this did not produce any results. He sadly passed away in 2013 with the song still unidentified. It has been speculated that the file originated from filesharing sites, but confirming the true origin of the song has proved difficult. I had wanted to cover this song for a while and had previously spoken with fellow YouTuber/Mysterious song Cover Artist, BSP, about potentially doing a collaboration. This song seemed like the perfect choice for our first song together!
