Concerto No.1 for Dizi and Sheng｜伍卓賢 曲｜笛/劉貞伶、高音笙/陳麒米｜指揮/劉江濱

-------- Concerto No.1 for Dizi and Sheng Composer｜Ng Cheuk-Yin Dizi｜Liu Chen-Ling Soprano Sheng｜ Chen Chi-Mi Conductor｜Liu Chiang-Pin Concert｜Virtuosos and Classics - 2022 Hsinchu Chinese Music Festival Date｜2022.07.31 Venue｜Hsinchu Performing Arts Center, Taiwan This concerto does not contain obvious elements of traditional Chinese music. Instead it highlights the harmony between two solo instruments intermingled with a modern Chinese music ensemble. The composer did not give a title to this concerto as the music in itself manifests its content. Yet, this concerto gives an impression of fury and hope, which appears to be a salute to those who vigorously fight bravely for their ideal. This is the performance by “Hsinchu City Youth Chinese Orchestra”, Taiwan.
