Bi-Directional Static Load Testing (BDSLT) is a method of evaluating deep foundation performance by applying load from within the foundation element using a GRL-Cell jack assembly. The test simultaneously mobilizes shaft resistance above the jack assembly and shaft and toe resistance below it, providing detailed insight into foundation behavior under load. Bi-Directional Static Load Testing can be performed on a variety of deep foundation types, including drilled shafts, augercast piles, drilled displacement piles, slurry wall panels, and barrettes.
