The Gift of Prophecy | Pastor Nsiandumi Ndossi

Prophecy is one of the most desired yet misunderstood gifts of the Holy Spirit. In this teaching, Pastor Nsiandumi Ndossi ‪@KingsTouchChurch‬/videos/upload carefully unpacks the biblical understanding of prophecy by comparing its function in the Old Testament with its role under the New Covenant. Through Scripture, he explains why Old Testament prophets spoke with infallible authority as God established His written Word, while New Testament prophecy is a spiritual gift that must be tested, discerned, and judged by the Church. This message clarifies common misconceptions about prophetic ministry and equips believers to embrace the gift with humility, wisdom, and biblical balance. You'll discover why every prophecy should align with Scripture, how the Holy Spirit now lives within every believer, and why the purpose of prophecy is to strengthen, encourage, and edify the Body of Christ not to control or manipulate people. Whether you desire the gift of prophecy or want to better understand prophetic ministry, this teaching provides a solid biblical foundation for walking confidently in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 🔑 What to learn: • The difference between Old Testament and New Testament prophecy. • Why New Testament prophecies should be judged and tested. • The biblical purpose of the gift of prophecy in the Church today. • How the Holy Spirit leads believers without contradicting Scripture. • How to pursue the gift of prophecy with wisdom, humility, and love. 📖 Key Scriptures: • 1 Corinthians 12:8–10 — Prophecy is one of the gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the Church. • 1 Corinthians 14:29–32 — New Testament prophecy should be weighed, judged, and exercised under the control of the prophet. • 2 Peter 1:20–21 — The Scriptures were given as holy men spoke under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, making God's written Word trustworthy. • 2 Timothy 3:16–17 — All Scripture is God-breathed and equips every believer for every good work. • Revelation 22:18–19 — God's written Word is complete and must never be added to or taken away from. “Test Every Prophecy.
