A dead fruit fly is playing CS2, slicing kebab, trading crypto and watching British politics. Its brain is all over the internet, so I tried to figure out why, and whether it's actually playing. In September 2026, scientists published the first complete wiring diagram of a male fruit fly's brain and nerve cord: ~166,000 neurons and ~125 million synapses. Within days, people were plugging it into video games. In this video we meet Bob (the fly), find out how you map a brain one slice at a time, compare his neurons to the ones inside ChatGPT, and discover what's really going on in those viral clips. If I am wrong, let me know in the comments... #neuroscience #AI #connectome #fruitfly #CS2
