The Tshangla Version of “Drinchen Apa” The Tshangla version of “Drinchen Apa” sung by Pema Jamtsho, music by Tashi Wangdi and lyrics and composed by Kinley Tshering, the same team of "Buchung Amai Cheychey" is now here for the listening and viewing pleasure of all Tshangla people and well-wishers. Although the Dzongkha version was released a month ago, the original composition of Drinchen Apa was actually written and composed in Tshangla. The decision to release the Dzongkha version first was driven by one simple purpose- to carry the message of gratitude, love, and appreciation for our fathers to as many people as possible through our national language. Through this song, I hope the message of Drinchen Apa: the immeasurable kindness, love, and sacrifices of our fathers can reach both Ngalops and Tshangla and ultimately touch the hearts of Bhutanese from all walks of life. We are also hopeful that the majority of Lhotshampas and Khengpas can understand either of these two dialects. Now, it gives me immense happiness to share the song in its original Tshangla form, with the hope that it will resonate even more deeply with the Tshangla community. May Drinchen Apa remind us all to cherish, respect, and appreciate our fathers while they are still with us. 🙏❤️ With gratitude to all who continue to listen, share, and support this humble creation.
