People from Dhaka or any other division will first visit Habiganj district when they go to Sylhet division. Habiganj district is well known for its tea gardens, haors and forests. Moulvibazar and Sylhet districts are to the east of the district, Brahmanbaria and Kishoreganj districts to the west, Sunamganj district to the north, and the Indian state of Tripura to the south.
