Awakening: An Invitation to Come Home to the Catholic Church (with Fr. Brian Roby)

Have you been away from the Catholic Church for a few months, a few years, or even decades? Have you ever thought about coming back but felt unsure of where to start? What if you didn’t have to figure everything out before taking that first step? In this video, Fr. Brian Roby, pastor of St. Mary of the Woods, extends a personal invitation to anyone who has been away from the Catholic Church to come home. He speaks about the beauty of our Catholic faith, the gift of living it in community, and how much we need one another. Whether life got busy, you have questions about the faith, or you've experienced hurt along the way, your story matters, and there is a place for you here. Fr. Brian shares what makes the St. Mary of the Woods community so special and reminds us that the Church is strongest when we are together. You don't need to feel embarrassed about how long you've been away, and you don't need to have everything figured out. Our Awakening team is ready to welcome you, listen to your story, and walk with you as you take steps back into the life of the Church. We are incomplete without you. There is a place for you here. We want you home. -------------------- We invite you to join us for a 6-week period of sessions that will awaken you to the truth, beauty, goodness, and community found in Catholic Church. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been away from the Church or if you have a lot of questions about coming home—we need you here. Please know that these sessions are in a loving and judgement-free environment, and simply coming does not obligate you to rejoin the Church.
