1. Kinesio Taping for the Toes Patient position: Supine, with the leg extended and the foot held in 90º dorsiflexion. Prepare three strips of kinesiology tape, each 2 cm wide and 8–10 cm long. Anchor the tape at the base of the 2nd metatarsal, crossing it in a tie-shaped (X) pattern toward the base of the 3rd–4th toe. Apply 0% stretch on the anchors and 50% stretch in the central part of the strip for joint correction. Repeat the same application on the 3rd and 4th toes. If needed, you can extend the taping to additional toes following the same pattern. This is recommended if the pain affects the entire forefoot. If the pain is localized to the neuroma, taping between the two affected toes will usually be sufficient. 2. Kinesio Taping for Metatarsalgia Patient position: Supine, with the leg extended and the foot in 90º dorsiflexion. Prepare three strips of kinesiology tape, each 5 cm wide and 10–12 cm long. Apply the first strip over the metatarsal area with 50% stretch in the central part to promote decompression and space opening. Anchors should be applied with 0% stretch. Keeping the same technique, apply the second strip diagonally across the forefoot to begin forming a star pattern. Apply the third strip diagonally in the opposite direction to complete the star. Central area at 50% stretch, anchors at 0%. #kinesiotape #kinesiotaping #neuromusculartaping #taping #mortonsneuroma #metatarsalgia #physiotherapist
