A Simple Day With My Son | Rural Vietnam Spend a day in rural Vietnam, where life revolves around caring for the garden, preparing simple home-cooked meals, and sharing everyday responsibilities with family. At 51, I still spend my days taking care of our home and doing the small jobs that keep our family going. The morning begins with drying leftover rice for the chickens before heading out to water the vegetable garden. I also take care of the eggplants I planted earlier, hoping they will grow well and provide us with a good harvest. While working in the garden, I pick some fresh vegetables to bring into the kitchen. There's something special about growing your own food and being able to prepare a meal with ingredients from your own backyard. I wash the vegetables and get everything ready for a simple homemade soup. Today, I have the chance to sit down and share a meal with my oldest son. These moments mean a lot to me. Our younger son has gone to Da Lat to work and earn a living, so the family doesn't always get to sit together at the table. As children grow older, they begin finding their own paths in life, and I learn to appreciate every moment we can spend together. After lunch, my son and I work together to tidy up the pile of firewood and clean the yard. While he sweeps the fallen leaves and gathers the rubbish, we slowly get the work around the house done. These are simple tasks, but sharing the work makes the day feel more meaningful. Before the day ends, I pick some papayas for my wife to take along and sell when she gets back from work. Every little bit helps, and even the fruits growing around our home can bring in some extra income. My wife works hard, too, and we both do what we can to take care of our family and make the most of what we have. Life in the countryside is made up of ordinary moments like these. There is always something to do, but there is also happiness in growing our own food, working side by side, and sharing a meal with the people we love. We may not have much, but I believe that taking care of one another and appreciating the little things are what make a home meaningful. If you enjoy authentic rural life in Vietnam, gardening, simple home-cooked meals, and heartwarming family moments, I hope you'll enjoy spending this day with us. Thank you for watching and supporting our family. *Chapters* 00:00 Drying Leftover Rice for the Chickens 00:34 Watering the Vegetable Garden 02:08 Watering the Eggplants I Planted Earlier 06:23 Picking Fresh Vegetables from the Garden 07:49 Washing Vegetables and Preparing Soup 05:00 Having Lunch with My Oldest Son 09:10 Tidying Up the Firewood with My Son 11:15 Sweeping the Yard and Cleaning Up 16:49 Picking Papayas for My Wife to Sell 18:06 A Quiet End to the Day at Home #vietnamcountryside #rurallife #familylife #gardening #slowliving
