In this video, I explore Hegel’s concept of "Dasein" and its implications for understanding Being, determination, and God. Beginning with Hegel’s "Science of Logic", I examine how pure Being develops into determinate Being, why determination necessarily involves negation, and what this means for our understanding of the absolute.
The discussion also considers Hegel’s criticism of defining God as the sum of all realities and the philosophical difficulties that arise when we attempt to think of God as an entirely indeterminate absolute. Rather than treating God as simply another existing thing, I explore the deeper question of how the absolute can be understood through philosophical thought.
I also distinguish Hegel’s use of "Dasein" from Heidegger’s later interpretation, showing how the same term acquires a different philosophical significance.
The central question of this video is: "Can God be understood, and what does it mean for Being to be determinate?"
