My work finished early today, so I took my $10 market budget and went shopping for dinner. I go to the market twice a week and spend $10 each time — a live 2 kg fish for $3.80, fresh shrimp, a little pork, and vegetables picked out at the most relaxing stall in the market. Then I broke down exactly what goes into a $2 dinner for my kids and me. Simple food, mostly seasoned with salt, cooked in 20 minutes — but the best part is sitting down together and listening to my daughter talk about her day.
