Mazda MX-5 Miata (2016+): How to Install MX5things 3rd Brake Light Flasher Harness - ND ND1 ND2 RF

This video shows how to install the MX5things 3rd brake light flasher harness on a fourth generation Mazda MX-5 Miata (2016 through 2023 - including ND1 and ND2 variants. This specific video applies to the RF (retractable fastback) and instructions may vary for ST (soft top) cars. Research also suggests this harness may work for the PRHT (power retractable hard top) NC Miata (2007 - 2015) as well. The specific car in this video is a 2020 MX-5 RF Grand Touring in Snowflake White Pearl Mica paint with Nappa Red Leather interior. After installing this plug-n-play harness by MX5things, your ND Miata will flash the third brake light four times when the brakes are activated. It has a timeout of about 8-10 seconds, meaning it will not continue flashing nonstop in stop-and-go traffic. This is the version I purchased and show in the video. There is also an accelerometer version, which will only flash during hard braking (0.6 G or greater). Personally, I liked the added visibility of the "always on" version.
