Every person's life is shaped by values, traditions, and divine blessings that guide them throughout their journey. My life is no exception. I am Sushma Pavanaskar (formerly Sushma Vasant Karmarkar). My parents were kind-hearted and well-educated. They raised me and my younger brother, Nityanand, with strong values and good principles. Whatever I am today is built on the foundation they gave me. My father, whom I lovingly called "Kaka," followed the Sandhyashram tradition established by Shri Batukbhairav Joshi and devoted his life to preserving and spreading this tradition. At the young age of 12 to 14, he had the privilege of learning Parashar Hora Shastra through the traditional Guru–Shishya (teacher–disciple) system from a great master who was a renowned scholar of this ancient science. Later, after retiring at the age of 52 as an Officer from the Shimla Office (now the Pune Observatory), he dedicated his entire life to serving people through Parashar Astrology and spirituality. My father had also attained spiritual powers (Siddhis). Being his only daughter, I had the opportunity to stay close to him and personally witness how he helped people solve their problems. As a result, I was introduced to the principles of Parashar Astrology from a very young age. Around the year 2012, at the request of a few close friends, I began teaching this ancient science to them. What started as a small effort gradually grew into a beautiful journey that continues to this day. Another great source of strength in my life has been my deep faith in Shri Gajanan Maharaj of Shegaon. This faith is a precious gift that I inherited from my mother. Whatever I have achieved in life is because of my father's guidance, the blessings of my Guru, and the divine grace of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. I will always remain deeply grateful to both of them.
