TELLY SAVALAS as Casbah Jewel Thief "Poopi Le Moco" - "The Carol Burnett Show"

Taken from The Carol Burnett Show, Season 8 - Episode 5, which aired on October 12, 1974. Without a doubt one of the funniest skits ever on The Carol Burnett Show - definitely in the Top 10! Telly Savalas thoroughly enjoys his role as International Jewel Thief, Poopi Le Moco playing opposite Harvey Korman, as Poopi's old nemesis, Inspector Ptomaine, who is wonderfully delicious to watch. (Oh, that voice!) Carol Burnett, costumed so exquisitely as Poopi's love interest, is detached and droll in her delivery, which adds to the hilarity of the script. Telly Savalas definitely had a flair for comedy, which we so seldom had a chance to see. Here he totally delights!!
