Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Last Doubleheader of The Season 10/17/26

The week of October 16th, we went up to Chama and spent two days up there because we had booked our tickets for the Cumbres & Toltec over 3 weeks ago and stayed at a wonderful motel the Chama Trails Inn. The day before I was given word at the very last minute that we were gonna have a DOUBLEHEADER. I was super stoked to hear about this because this was gonna be the first ever time I rode behind a double header with 11 cars and 200 passengers. A SOLD OUT train that brought many railfans and other people traveling to ride the C&TS for an experience of a lifetime. 12 years ago on August 4th 2014, I was 10 years old. I had dreamed about riding the Cumbres & Toltec for many years, I've followed the railroad since I was 6 years old and in 2014 my parents made my wish come true. It was a fun experience and 487 (coal burner at the time) powered up the 4% grade and took us all the way to Antonito. That was first and only time I got to ride the train. Fast foward 12 years later we got to experience what it's like behind pulled by two engines and listening to the aggressive chugging sounds and I just knew that I had to get video of it all. I want to thank the Cumbres & Toltec for putting on an adventure for all of us and thank you for giving me and the rest of the people on board an experience of a lifetime. @T-12 Productions great to meet you as well. 😉
