Grinding Out Some Quality Smallmouth In The Wind!

I hit the river on Sunday the 31st. I was a bit dismayed because I found out that there was a 20 boat bass tournament launching across the river. In addition, there were a few regular bass boats launching on my side. Needless to say it was a bit more crowded than usual on the river and I was fishing behind people or not getting to fish spots all day long. I did not tear it up by any means but I did grind out 15 bass with the best 5 going 15lb 7oz and 91". My best on the day was a nice 20.25" 3lb 13oz bass. I caught most of my bass on a Ned rig and a spinnerbait, but my three bass over 3lbs all came on the S-waver. It was a lot of casts per fish but some days you just have to knuckle down and do the work!
