NYCT Q61 Bus Ride: 2015 Nova Bus LFS 8303 from Beechhurst to Flushing

Taken on 8/1/26. Video onboard 2015 Nova Bus LFS 8303 operating on the Q61 route between Beechhurst and Flushing in Queens. This bus was loaned from Queens Village Depot to Casey Stengel Depot due to a shortage of bus required by necessary maintenance. The Q61 was a new bus route enacted from sections of older route under Phase I of the Queens Bus Redesign in June 2025. It replaced the former Q15 along 154th Street in Beechhurst and the entire portion of the former Q34 north of Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing. It also provided a new route along portions of Willets Point Boulevard and Francis Lewis Boulevard which previously had no direct service to Downtown Flushing. Initially proposed as a "Rush" route to Fort Totten, the Q61 route was proposed as it currently operates under the final plan of the Queens Bus Redesign. A rundown of the trip will be provided soon.
