Since then it has morphed from a muddy path along side a festering canal into a gleaming commercial hub & steamy nightlife behemoth. The canal & old tram line may be long gone now, but much of what made this one of the seediest foreigner hangouts in Asia still remain & it's still a place where a passerby can relieve themselves.
