Last chapter, Sennacher beat the classic algorithm through the esses, almost without touching the brake. Today: two hairpins, a U-turn to the right and a U-turn to the left, on a track just 5 metres wide. On its cold run the chapter six brain goes flat out into the tyre wall at the first hairpin, and so do all 276 attempts from the start line: it has forgotten how to brake hard. So the Instructor tries something new: learning the track backwards. First from just before the last hairpin (95 of its first 100 tries are clean), then from before the first one (1,121 tries to make it routine), and the start line comes last: it finishes on its try number 5. But it doesn't brake hard again: it simply never gets fast.
