After surviving one of Pakistan's most intimidating mountain roads, we finally reached the remote village of Shimshal. After hours of cliff-edge riding, suspension bridges, deep sand and complete exhaustion, the reward was finally waiting for us. What followed was something completely different. Friendly locals, incredible mountain scenery, a hike to the Shimshal Glacier, and a reminder of exactly why we travel like this. But there was one small problem...
