Rwenzori Trek, Margherita Peak Uganda July 2023

Fabulous 8-day trek on the Kilembe Trail to Margherita Peak (5109m) and Weismann's Peak with Rwenzori Trekking Services, Uganda. Venture off the beaten track and explore a luxuriant and unique landscape. The vegetation is controlled by altitude and at the higher altitudes certain genera of plants grow unusually large. Mountains can be shrouded in mist, glaciers, rocks scrambling, crampons, huts. Route followed: Kilembe Trekker's Hostel, Sine Hut, Mutinda Camp, Bugata Camp, Hunwick's Camp, Margherita Camp, Summit Margherita Peak and back to Hunwick's Camp, Kiharo Camp, Kilembe Trekker's Hostel.
