Keep it going — every hour I have made, in one playlist:    • Meditation Music for Focus & Study — 作業・集中...   For mornings, the gentlest one I have made:    • ASA (Morning) 朝 | Japanese Morning Music f...   Thank you for being here. I made this to stay in the background — one unbroken hour to leave running while you work, study, or sit still. What is in it: eight instrumental pieces, joined so the changes pass without a break. A Japanese bamboo flute (shakuhachi) leads all the way through, with an alto flute answering from further back, bright pads high above and a bowed cello holding long sustained notes far underneath. There are no drums, no percussion and no beat, and nothing builds to a climax. There is no birdsong and no sound of water in this one — only the instruments. The place it was made for is an old farming valley in the Japanese hills on an early autumn morning, small terraced fields stepping down the slope behind low walls of stacked stone, the rice standing ripe and heavy and gold, a few terraces already cut and holding a thin film of water, and a white egret standing still in one of them while the low sun comes over the far ridge. SATOYAMA — 里山, the country where the hills and the fields meet, worked by hand for a very long time. The hour just after sunrise, when the mist is still lifting off the water. If it helps you work, study, or just sit quietly for a while, I'm glad. 央心 / Oushin — Japanese zen music for focus, calm and quiet moments.
