Virtual Field Trip to the Persian Gulf - Importing Lessons for US Subsurface Reservoirs

This was a talk hosted by the Denver International Petroleum Society (DIPS) in the US. The goal was to provide participants with a general introduction to the value of the modern Persian Gulf as an analog for ancient carbonate ramps. Examples presented include the Bakken and Three Forks of the Williston Basin and the Minnelusa Formation of the Powder River Basin.
