1970s California Soft Rock | We Were Young in California | Nostalgic West Coast Music

We Were Young in California. 🌅 Summer roads, old cars, FM radio, beach afternoons, small apartments, and Saturday nights that never seemed to end. Step into the world of 1970s California, when four friends could turn an ordinary weekend into an adventure, a little money could take you somewhere new, and nobody needed to know exactly what tomorrow would bring. This collection features nine original California-inspired mellow soft rock songs with warm acoustic guitars, melodic electric bass, natural drums, Rhodes piano, clean electric guitar, and relaxed storytelling vocals. From the open-road energy of "California Was Ours That Summer" to the warm closing song "We Were Young in California," this playlist celebrates friendship, freedom, and the everyday moments that make youth unforgettable. Perfect for coastal drives, quiet afternoons, and remembering when the road ahead felt wide open. *TRACKLIST — FIRST JOURNEY* 00:00 California Was Ours That Summer 04:37 The Radio Knew Every Song 09:17 Four Friends and One Old Car 13:14 Our Apartment Had No Air Conditioning 17:51 Sunday Afternoon at the Beach 22:30 We Had Nowhere to Be by Midnight 27:00 The Phone Booth on Sunset Boulevard 31:37 Nobody Knew What Came Next 36:22 We Were Young in California *SECOND JOURNEY* 41:21 California Was Ours That Summer 45:58 The Radio Knew Every Song 50:38 Four Friends and One Old Car 54:35 Our Apartment Had No Air Conditioning 59:12 Sunday Afternoon at the Beach 1:03:51 We Had Nowhere to Be by Midnight 1:08:21 The Phone Booth on Sunset Boulevard 1:12:58 Nobody Knew What Came Next 1:17:43 We Were Young in California The nine-song collection plays twice for an extended listening experience.
