The Sexy Old Man

Welcome to Echoes of: The Wandering Inn, where the levelling never stops. In this episode, Geoff Lalonde and Paul Morris dig into Chapter 44 of the audiobook (web serial 1.43 R), where Ryoka wakes up somewhere she definitely shouldn't be and comes face to face with a mysterious mage. He's ancient, powerful, out of touch, and far more distractingly handsome than anyone has a right to be. What follows is a battle of wits between a Runner who refuses to bend and someone used to never being questioned. We talk about Ryoka's stubborn principles, why refusing to level says so much about who she is, and how one conversation can hand a person a job that's far more dangerous than any delivery should be. Geoff and Paul lean into the banter, the comedy, and the strong hints that this world is much older and much bigger than it looks.
