Ex-SF MUNI Xcelciors at auction | 9/10/2026

Here are four Ex-MUNI 2013 New Flyer XDE40s at auction. I was in the area so I figured I’d check them out. Kind of unreal to see these retired now to be honest. These four units retired due to an emission recall which involves replacing the engine. With these buses having high mileage it’s not worth it considering the new 8000s are coming in hot. The units that were up there were 8625, 8626, 8651 and 8660. 8651 and 8660 were the only ones that started up. However, 8625 is the one (for now) that is actually bought and registered by somebody in the Oakland area! In conclusion, enjoy the video!
