Fältörsten is a combined shopping center and residential block at Karlaplan 15 in Östermalm in Stockholm. The building consists on the ground floor of a shopping center with club premises and community services as well as an upper terrace level with five residential buildings. The Fältöversten neighborhood has a triangular shape and is bounded by Värtavägen, Valhallavägen and Erik Dahlbergsallén adjacent to Karlaplan. Fältörsten is also the name of the quarter which, until the 1930s, was divided into Fältörsten and Fältväbeln. In the neighborhood there are similar block names with military connections such as Furiren, Trumslagaren and Ryttaren. In 2008, the 534 apartments were transformed into condominiums.
