Nathula is a mountain pass in the Dongkya Range of the Himalayas between Yadong in Tibet, and the Indian state of Sikkim. The pass, at 4,310 m (14,140 ft), connects the towns of Kalimpong and Gangtok to the villages and towns of the lower Chumbi Valley. There’s a temple dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian army soldier who sacrificed his life in the service of the nation in 1968.
