By The Way...I'm Kamille and I'm Delusional

By The Way, Kamille is DELULU. This week, Harriet sits down with the extraordinary Grammy and Brit Award-winning singer, songwriter, and record producer to unpack everything from her sky-high imposter syndrome to her fiercely ambitious drive for worldwide success. Kamille opens up about the dramatic, movie-like rainy afternoon she walked out of her stockbroker job on a lunch break and went straight to a recording studio. She gets candid about the high-anxiety realities of navigating the music industry, the soul-crushing experience of watching a flawless song get buried by the social media algorithm, and the painful lesson of being "negatively delusional" about fair-weather friendships in the past. Kamille reveals the hilarious truth behind her secret vocals on massive Little Mix records, recounts her days of making hit music alongside a pre-fame Fred Again... and explains why a well-funded food delivery budget is the ultimate key to writing a classic pop song. She also shares the beautiful, lockdown-fueled story of how a bold, delusional DM slide to her now-husband completely transformed her life and brought her two beautiful children.
