Building a budget $30 DIY off-grid manual transfer switch using a metal double gang box, DPDT (double pole double throw) toggle switches, custom 3D printed mounting plates, and recycled power leads. This setup allows individual outlets to manually air-gap switch between grid/generator power and an off-grid solar battery bank without cross-feed issues. Perfect for bench testing sub-circuits across the trailer and bike room! ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This video documents a DIY bench test experiment for my personal off-grid setup and is intended for entertainment/educational logging only. It is NOT professional electrical advice. Always consult a licensed electrician and local codes for AC power systems.
