Nike HyperKO 3 First Look: Nike's Lightest KO? (Unboxing + Weight Test vs HyperKO 2)

I just got the Nike HyperKO 3 ($190) and this is my honest first look: how it arrived, the details up close, and a weight test against my HyperKO 2 on a calibrated scale. Short version: noticeably lighter than the KO2, the forefoot strap from the original HyperKO is back, and the build quality is excellent. The listed weight is 10.2 oz. 🔎 WHAT STOOD OUT Shipped in a plastic mailer with no box protection. Not great at $190. Very light in hand, about 1.6 oz lighter than my HyperKO 2. See-through mesh panels: breathable, but your sock color will show. Padded heel collar to protect the back of the ankle. The forefoot strap returns from the original HyperKO. It locks the front of the foot so it doesn't slide inside the shoe. Super Critical Foam footbed for energy return and durability. Lace Garage plus a lace lock at the top to keep long laces secure. Made in China. 🧪 VERDICT (FIRST IMPRESSION ONLY) Out of the box this is a fantastically well-made shoe. The real score comes after sparring and bag work in the full review.
