Lara Croft from TOMB RAIDER | Hand-Painting a 3D-Printed Figure

Meet LARA CROFT - one of my favorite video game characters for a very long time! In this video, we hand-paint a 1/6 scale 3D-printed Lara Croft figure from Tomb Raider, including the detailed base, birds, monkeys, and realistic bruises, scratches and wounds on Lara’s skin. This figure also turned out to be the most challenging project we’ve painted so far. There was simply a lot going on: Lara herself, the detailed base, the birds, the monkeys, and plenty of small elements that all needed their own attention. One of the more interesting challenges was painting the damage on Lara’s skin. We wanted the bruises, scratches and wounds to be visible without making them look too exaggerated, so we spent quite a bit of time building them up gradually. The base was almost a separate project on its own, but seeing all the different parts finally come together was incredibly satisfying. 😊 As always, we’re still learning something new with every figure, and this one definitely gave us plenty of opportunities to practice.
